EXPC — Extreme Project Cargo

Transport and installation Transformer in Cambodia

Cambodia Multi-Substation Transformer Project

EXPC Project Development Co., Ltd. carried out the transportation and installation of four high-capacity transformers for EDC (Electricité du Cambodge), supporting power infrastructure development across multiple substations in Cambodia.

The project involved the delivery and installation of two 100MVA transformers weighing 82 and 92 tons, as well as two 75MVA transformers weighing 55 tons each. The transformers were installed at Sna Ansa Substation, Kampong Chnang Substation, and Teuk Phos Substation as part of Cambodia's ongoing power network expansion.

Cross-Border Transformer Transportation to Cambodia

As part of the project scope, EXPC managed the transportation of transformers from Shanghai, China, through Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, before final delivery to project sites in Cambodia.

The movement of large electrical equipment across multiple countries required detailed logistics planning, transportation coordination, and operational oversight to ensure safe and timely delivery.

Project Scope

  • Transportation of two 100MVA transformers
  • Transportation of two 75MVA transformers
  • Cross-border logistics coordination
  • Heavy cargo transportation management
  • On-site transformer installation services

Transportation and Installation Operations

The successful execution of the project required close coordination between logistics teams, engineering personnel, and site stakeholders across multiple locations.

EXPC managed both transportation and installation activities, ensuring each transformer was delivered, positioned, and installed according to project specifications. Through careful planning and disciplined execution, all project activities were completed efficiently and in accordance with operational requirements.

Key Challenges
